Privacy, in plain words.

We use Google Analytics to understand page views, houses opened, and clicks on buttons and public links. It uses analytics cookies to recognize repeat visits for up to 30 days. Google also receives basic browser and device information and can estimate a general location from your internet connection.

We don’t send your submitted address, contact email, feedback, neighborhood text, device coordinates, account ID, or this map’s browser ID to Google Analytics. House activity uses a random house ID, without its address. Neighborhood link clicks use the public neighborhood ID, and page activity uses a fixed page category. Event links use their public event ID and title. Other external links use a known public page or just the website domain; email, phone and map-app links use only the link type. Link queries and fragments are never sent. Advertising features are off.

Analytics are on by default, except when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, or you’ve turned analytics off. You can turn analytics off here at any time. Your choice is saved in this browser; turning analytics off removes this site’s analytics cookies and stops further collection.

Analytics are off until this visit’s settings are checked.

The map also uses an essential cookie when you heart a house, to remember your choice and prevent duplicate votes. House submissions, feedback, and listing issue reports are saved privately for the map owner. Previously submitted neighborhood requests and any contact emails remain private to the map owner. Your device location stays in your browser. Address searches outside our saved list send the normalized street address, plus city and ZIP when provided, through our server to Pinellas County’s public address service. The county receives the query and our server connection, not your browser IP, cookies or account details.
